The VIQUA Quartz sleeve provides thermal protection for the system UV lamp and protects it from possible water damage. The quartz material used is 100% fused silica which lends to the sleeve's high UV light transmittance through the water. Each VIQUA quartz sleeve is tested, ensuring that the lamp delivers the appropriate intensity for your UV Max System. All VIQUA lamps & sleeves are designed to operate with a specific ballast so be sure to GET GENUINE and contact your dealer in order to order the correct lamp & sleeve when it's time for replacement.
