Why do I need a Sump Pump High Level Alarm?

March 6, 2018 By: Shopify API

Do you want peace of mind in knowing that your sump pump is working properly?

Sump pump alarms alert you to dangerous water levels in your tank before it becomes a problem. They are designed to sound an alarm, light a visual indicator, and/or send messages via text and email when there is a problem. In most cases, the alert will allow you to check it before your basement floods, saving you the headaches and costs associated with water damage.

How does the alarm work?

A basic audio/visual alarm will have a float located at a chosen high level in your sump pump basin. When the water in the tank reaches the high level, the float will tip up, sending a signal to the alarm control box. The visual indicator will illuminate and the alarm will sound. Additional options include battery back-ups and alarms that will send notifications via email and/or text.
